I think teens are less happy nowdays, mostly because we spend too much of our time online, especially on social media. Our parents didn’t grow up in digital era and they spent more time outside and had more human interactions, which creates a healthier lifestyle than what we have right now. Now everyone spends majority of their life on their phone, mainly scrolling through social media, which are very addictive and have really bad affects on our mental health. Social media creates competition "who has more likes/followers", creates unrealistic body images or even more harmful things, so clearly teens now, who use those medias all the time, arent as happy as our parents were that age.
Conspiracy theories are popular mainly because they give us the thrill and emotions, and we also don’t like to accept everything we have been told by the government. We enjoy stuff that have deeper meanings. It makes our life interesting and it gives us a space to overthink even obvious stuff. So believing in even mindless conspiracy theories gives us the sensation. Also, another important reason is that we don't like being told what to believe in. We don’t always want to trust everything around us so easily, so we root for another solutions and beliefs, which lead us to creating those theories.
Your final sentence runs on forever - it's way too long and complex. You need a proper conclusion instead of a rambling last sentence.
