Anime and voice acting

Anime voice acting is very different then regular voice acting in cartoons. The whole process of recording Japanese voice track is pretty much the same as in regular cartoons, but the difference is in the acting part. Usually, anime characters are shown with many moods, emotions and expressions, so their voices need to match all of that. So anime voice acting is full of shouting, yelling and even a lot of strange mouth noises included. Sometimes, even the breathing is very intense. As if that was not enough, most of the female characters in anime have insanely high-pitched voices, because in Japan it is associated with being girlish, so the actresses are making their anime dialogs in upper range. It is clear that voice acting in anime doesn’t sound accurate and natural, but for some people it is „too much” and even obnoxious to watch. This way of voice acting may seem strange, but in my opinion it is still very impressive and it spikes up your emotions. I also think it suits the anime bizaare and colorful characters very well.

  1. The more I read about it, the more bizarre it seems. I watched the videos and the level of emotion seems just unbearable.

Why are conspiracy theories so popular?

Conspiracy theories are popular mainly because they give us the thrill and emotions, and we also don’t like to accept everything we have been told by the government. We enjoy stuff that have deeper meanings. It makes our life interesting and it gives us a space to overthink even obvious stuff. So believing in even mindless conspiracy theories gives us the sensation. Also, another important reason is that we don't like being told what to believe in. We don’t always want to trust everything around us so easily, so we root for another solutions and beliefs, which lead us to creating those theories.

Problems of anime industry- part 2

The biggest issue with anime industry is that animators don’t get paid enough. Animating is extremely time consuming and in Japan it is a very unbeneficial job. According to the  Japanese Animation Creators Association , a Japanese animator in their 20s earns on average ¥1.1 million (which is about $10,000) per year, while the poverty line in Japan is earning  ¥2.2 million per year. So the only way the animators make ends meet is working even more, which leads to another issue of animators- being overworked. There are plenty of cases where those poor workers fall asleep at their desks, have their health declined and are hospitalized- all because of exhausion. It also happens, that animators even commit suicide due to such an unpleasant job. Some time ago, even a popular studio Madhouse has violated lobor code, because employees were working 400 hours per month, so the problem is more complex than you could think. In my opinion, this whole topic is heartbreaking and animat...

Secondhand christmas gifts

Christmas is always associated with spending time with your loved ones, but lately it looks like it's a holiday of massive consumption. We all love receiving gifts, but research shows that we appreciate them more when it's something sentimental and has a history behind it. That's why we should start buying our christmas gifts secondhand. What makes an item meaningful is not its price, but its past, that we can fantisize about. So getting an old item can be good for the imagination, as well as it makes us take better care of our current belongings. It creates an attachment to our stuff, so when they get old, we're more likely to give them a new life, than just throw them out. In my opinion, this idea is just brilliant. I, myself am a big oponnent of mindless consumption during black fridays and christmas. I think nowadays, a lot of us are addicted to shopping and most of our purchases are things, that we don't actually need, but we just like the feeling of having b...
