During the summer months Pakistan has experienced very heavy monsoon rainfalls, that later on has caused extreme flooding across the whole country, that has killed about 1,500 innocent people now. More than a tenth of the country is physically under water and about a third is affected by the flooding. What’s more concerning, according to climate scientists it’s all an effect of global warming. In my opinion, the situation looks critically. Pakistan just now is having big troubles with handeling this disaster and the number of $30bn lost in damages speaks for itself. Civilians are not only having their homes and loved one’s taken away from them , but things like basic needs suplices. All this basicly puts Pakistan and a total of 220,9 million people in it, in economic crisis. But what worries me the most, is the thought of future with extreme weather events like this one happening more frequently.
